Super Titan Towers for Sprite and Gryphon Wind Turbines
Construction:
The SuperTitan is a 3-legged tower and has 3 faces. Tower legs are 60-degree angle. Tower bracing is 90-degree angle on a diagonal pattern (no horizontals). All members are hot-dip galvanized throughout to provide years of trouble free service. All tower legs posses a minimum yield strength of 50.75 ksi [350 Mpa]. All diagonals posses minimum yield strength of 44 ksi [300 MPa].
Tower Sections:
The SuperTitanT is a modular system consisting of twelve (12) standard sections. Each section is 10 feet [3 meters] high. Sections are numbered for ease of use. The largest section available is number 12, which when utilized at the base produces the strongest tower configuration possible. Section numbers then progress to 11, 10, etc. up to a number 1, which is the smallest section available.
Each section tapers such that as the section number becomes smaller, so does its face width. For example, a number 12 section is 48" wide at the bottom from bolt-center to bolt-center. A number one (1) section is only 15" wide at the bottom (c-c).
The TOP section of every Titan tower includes "Pipe Mount brackets" and u-bolt assemblies in the top and middle of the section. They act as two anchor points for the antenna support pipe. The antenna support pipe is not included.

How The SuperTitan System Works:
The same "building block" versatility enjoyed by Titan customers, is again offered in the SuperTitan to create towers of varying heights and loading capacities. For example, all 12 sections are employed to construct a 120 ft (36 m) tower. In another example, the strongest possible 70 ft. (21 m) tower can be obtained by choosing the widest 7 sections: from #12 to #6. If only a low wind speed needs to be accommodated, a lighter-duty 70 ft tower can be constructed using the 8 narrowest sections, #1 to # 7.
Shipping & Packaging:
SuperTitans can be sold either ASSEMBLED or KNOCKED-DOWN. Knocked-down is desirable where shipping cost is a major factor. However, additional labor cost will be incurred to bolt-up all tower sections from their knocked-down state.

Splicing Sections Together:

Foundation Section for Concrete:
A simple, 5-foot foundation section is shipped with every SuperTitan tower. It features one diagonal brace and two horizontal braces per face. Foundation sections always ship knocked-down (unassembled) and can be easily assembled in the field. It is the "anchor" which becomes encased in a poured concrete foundation.
